Gerson Fiallos is a youth pastor and ministry leader based in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. His passion for serving young people, creating opportunities, and putting faith into action led him to establish The Hands of God Ministry in 2025.
The vision for The Hands of God Ministry began with a simple act of compassion.
When a family connected to Gerson's church faced a difficult situation that placed their children's education at risk, churches and supporters in Honduras and the United States came together to help.
As support continued to grow, Gerson saw an opportunity to reach beyond one family and serve more children, young people, and communities in need.
That experience became the beginning of The Hands of God Ministry.
Long before founding the organization, Gerson was already deeply involved in working with young people.
As a youth pastor in San Pedro Sula, he regularly leads gatherings of young people centered on faith, community, personal growth, and developing a relationship with God.
He also serves in his church's worship ministry, another area that has influenced his desire to use music as a tool to encourage and develop young people.
Gerson believes that serving others means caring about both their present needs and their future.
That belief is reflected in the ministry's focus on education, scholarships, free English and music programs, and outreach to communities throughout Honduras.
Alongside his ministry work, Gerson is completing his senior year in Marketing and International Business, applying what he learns to help build a ministry that can grow responsibly, create sustainable opportunities, and serve more people over time.
"I believe God gives each of us something we can use to serve others. Sometimes making a difference begins with simply seeing a need and choosing not to ignore it. My hope is that The Hands of God Ministry can continue creating opportunities for young people while showing them, through our actions, that they are seen, valued, and loved."
What began by responding to the needs of one family has grown into a mission to serve wherever there is an opportunity to help.
Gerson continues to lead The Hands of God Ministry with a focus on faith, responsible stewardship, education, and creating meaningful opportunities for the next generation.
